Woman Sues AmEx For Letting Her Spend Too Much


You might remember the online gambling husband and wife team who lost over $100,000 and then promptly blamed their credit card company and sued them for letting them spend so much on a gambling site. Well, $100,000 is nothing, apparently. A woman who claims (falsely) that she is a Saudi Arabian princess and a former Victoria's Secret model, apparently caught "shopping fever" and rung up nearly $1 million in charges on an American Express card. When AmEx came to collect, she sued them, claiming they "induced" her to spend, by promising a "flexible" payment plan. In her mind, it seems, "flexible payment plan" means "you never have to pay." Once again, it's the latest thing in personal responsibility: there's always someone else to blame.

Its nearing the end of the year.. and I must say this year was probably the most productive year in terms of setting a new level of Stupidity! and the least productive in terms of growing up... so much oppurtunity wasted and so many mistakes made... haiz... oh well...

Addiction is a strong bane to my life... Games being the main thing :P not fatal but still harmful. right now Im supposed to be doing my homework... noooo.... so bored and feeling a lil depressed... not BGR depressed but "what-the-fuck-am-i-doing-with-my-life" depressed. Heez... oh well. If it were up to me i would end sch rite now and work... i mean... what is sch for right? to get that cert and to be exposed to the different things and to learn the knowledge that you would apply in your work or in some cases the knowledge that you will build on... useful but still because of Singapore's system it is rigid and we can't specialise when we have chosen our fields...hmm... but then again i really got no reason to complain... Math Phy Comp.. these are applicable for my chosen line of work... but still... it is a tedious life... school.. :P

haha... now that is a rant... im just crapping now.

relationships... one word... yet it means so many different things to different ppl... as i was talking to Adeline yesterday, she talked about ppl getting into relationships because of like(ie attraction) and some "strange" ppl... getting into it for commitment... well she din exactly say that but it does summrise it i think... we are still young.. .that is true.. and there is no need to be that serious about relationships... that is true... you can and should view these relationships and sort of "trial-runs"... that MAYBE true... Do not have expectations of the person you are with... that is... sadly... true...

At first i got insecure... then as i though about it... yeah... why should i be? do note that she didnt say all those things above but i followed a train of though i left about a year ago... it is POSSIBLE to have a long lasting relationship... *salutes Mrs J.Choe and Mdm Ng CC. but in fact most relationships are... brief... mm... because of the way most ppl think...

Ice Skating Rox!

Whoot! Ice skating is so damn fun... haha... 1st timer here and it was flippin' cold but watching Ben slip and slide was cool :P hopefully will get the pic up here soon. A quick post

Its interesting that it was just yeaterday that i talked to Addy about my dad.... and now i read a friend's blog and see that she is struggling with the verse "love and honour your parents"... in a simple question. Why do it?

I guess there are millions of different cases when it comes to relationships between parents and their kids... but i guess it boils down to this... even though they may love us alot... they may be our flesh and blood... they are also humans and will have selfish desires... I know that most parents are mature enough to understand that their self sacrifice and love is what is needed to bring their children up into the world... but when pride and sloth take hold... and they neglect or do something wrong... it cuts deep into the child's mind...

Understand that no1 is perfect and will be blind at times... but you also have other's who sincerely care for you. sometimes you need to... tear away the veil that blinds those eyes... and hope that they will come around and do whats BEST for you...

hmmz... friend... I trust and believe in you.. i do hope that things will sort out for you..
