Take it with a dollop of IceCream
heez.. the phrase was inspired from "take it with a pinch of salt"... any how, it has totally no relavance to what im gonna write today but I just felt that it would catch ur attention.
Ive been wanting to write on a lot of things lately... but lacked the time... and was addicted to Neverwinter Nights... This however... i feel is more important than any other topic i may wanna spend hours brooding over. Its possible to be close to a person of the opposite sex without being "in love". And even if you feel as such... take ur time in building the relationship, Don't throw it away bcoz you wanna rush into it.
Hmm... why would i say that? coz i seem to see it happening all around me... heez... I was close to some girls in the past... and i mistoook it for "love", but yeah, maybe it's because i rushed into these relationships, but it never really worked out, nor was it really what i imagined "love" to be... I've learnt my lesson though. Im not saying that passion is stupid or anything, blind passion is though, it's a great way to start a relationship, but after a time, passion will indeed die down, and it will rest on commitment to keep it going.
My advice to you my friend? Be sure of what is it that you share with your "close friend", things may be clearer than they seem. but we have years ahead of us... take it slow... don't let a "want" destroy a relationship that you could share.
